About a year and a half ago I couldn't lie down easily due to excruciating pain. Getting in and out of bed was very difficult. I couldn't walk a straight line and I had no knee reflexes. My doctor had an MRI taken and found out I had severe spinal stenosis, a condition that was traced to my being bucked off a horse and landing squarely on my back some 25 years ago. I was diagnosed with a pinched nerve in my back, which was causing severe pain in my buttock and leg. I love to bowl but my bowling score has been very poor since my back started hurting. I was given a number of cortisone shots but I was still having pain. When I heard about spinal decompression, I felt it might help me. After seeing the table I was a little worried what the treatments might be like. Would they help? Would the treatments be painful? The treatments were actually very relaxing. One time I even fell asleep. After my third treatment of Spinal Decompression, I went bowling and bowled 30 points above my average which greatly impressed my Team. “After 2 failed back surgeries in 2000, I still had severe pain and I was informed no further surgeries would help. I had extreme pain while standing and walking. I came ... because of low back pain in my lower back that began 5 years ago from work as a heavy equipment mechanic for 38 years. This pain was accompanied by pain and numbness traveling down both of my legs. On a scale of 0–10 my pain was about a 7–8. I had tried epidurals/steroid shots, exercise, physical therapy, and pain medication with only mild temporary relief. I was not a candidate to undergo back surgery due to heart complications, so it was the last route I could take. Prior to starting my treatment, I was taking 30mg of Codeine and two 300mg tablets of Acetaminophen three times a day, and a few additional doses if the pain persisted. Call us to schedule a complimentary consultation to determine if you are a candidate for Spinal Decompression and our 5-Step Protocol. The doctor will ask you a series of questions such as “Where is the pain, when did it begin, what makes it better or worse?” Then a thorough examination will be performed in which case the doctor will check your reflexes, blood pressure, balance, gait, skin sensory changes muscle strength and more to determine the cause of your back or neck pain. At this point the doctor may recommend x-rays or an MRI if he feels like further imaging will be necessary to determine the exact cause. After combining all of this information together the doctor will determine if you will make a good candidate for spinal decompression therapy and our 5-Step Protocol. If you do qualify for care, your Doctor will explain their recommended plan of action for you. If for some reason you do not qualify for care the doctor will refer you to someone who may better suit your needs.
